Ma dove sono i vecchi
sapori
baruffe di rami ingrigiano il cielo qua e
là foglie secche appendono vita all'umore dell'aria Dove le note di
Chopin? Dove le poche caramelle incartate di colori nella
calza rotta di befana?

antichi
si spenzola
il ragno dagli angoli infila perle. Il buio ha avvolto il
mantello sugli occhi un cappellone nero. Ma la gattina s'avventa in
minuziose fusa ora crepita giochi da sotto il divano. Sento
capannelli di libertà nella notte e aspiro cannucce di cola. Le
campane fuori ridono a squarciagola.

are the antique flavors,
Tangles of
branches grey the sky, here and there dry leaves drifting - life at
the whim of a breeze. Where is the music of Chopin? Where are the
colored flecks of delicate paper, sweets hidden in the torn stocking of
the Old One?

nightmares
A spider's
web floats in the corner, a lacy pearl-web. The dark enters in his
black beret sweeping up the day light under his black cloak. A
kitten, delicate, flirting, purring. I hear the bells
ringing beyond, in the night. I sip my Coke. The bells ring,
screaming.
